Approach Procedures

Area of Operation: “Instrument Approach Procedures” is complete when the following tasks have been achieved:

1. Nonprecision Approach
2. Precision Approach
3. Missed
4. Circling Approach
5. Landing from an Instrument Approach

Instrument approach procedures (IAP) are a series of predetermined maneuvers for the orderly transfer of an aircraft under IFR from the beginning of the initial approach to a landing or to a point from which a landing may be made visually.

5 Required Steps

• Earn “Non-Precision Approach” 1 time.
• Earn “Non-Precision Approach” 1 time.
• Earn “Missed Approach” 1 time.
• Earn “Circling Approach” 1 time.
• Earn “Landing from an Instrument Approach” 1 time.
