Preflight Procedures

Area of Operation: “Preflight Procedures” is complete when the following tasks have been achieved:

1. Airplane Systems Related to IFR Operations
2. Airplane Flight Instruments and Navigation Equipment
3. Instrument Flight Deck Check

Before any flight involving aircraft control by instrument reference, the pilot should ensure the aircraft is airworthy, meets all required inspections, is properly equipped and inspects all systems, instruments and their sources of power for proper operation.

3 Required Steps

• Earn “Airplane Systems Related to IFR Operations” 1 time.
• Earn “Airplane Flight Instruments and Navigation Equipment” 1 time.
• Earn “Instrument Flight Deck Check” 1 time.
